Penstock Monitoring

We are able to provide flow measurement systems for power plants. With flexibility in the sensor technology, solutions such as Clamp-on, Insertion or even inside penstock, can be provided. Measurement accuracy can be increased with the help of multi-path configurations, to go up to 32 paths, as per project requirements.

With flow measurements made statutory in hydropower, we are able to provide appropriate and site based solutions. Cooling water measurements for thermal/ nuclear based plants can also be provided. Any partial flow conditions that affects the measurement can be measured with our solution. Suitable for measurement in penstock sizes up to DN 12000.

The flow meter operates over the full bi-directional flow range without causing obstruction or head loss where the large array of NIVUS transducer models makes flow measurement possible across the widest possible range.

The compact transmitter design is easily integrated into instrument cabinets using a DIN rail mounting system and is also available with a field enclosure that provides full protection under harsh environmental operating conditions.

The transmitter‘s large graphic display allows quick and easy commissioning of the flow metering system. The meter also provides extensive diagnostic options and allows in-depth analysis of operational function on site. The system has been developed using future proof protocols complete with versatile choices for communication and I/O connections that open up a wide range of options for operators to integrate the instruments into SCADA or similar operating systems.
